Object Relations with Davina Kirkpatrick

Davina’s invitation was to find an object that speaks to you of absence and/or loss. Participants were invited some time looking at this object from different angles and viewpoints, from close up to distant, considering how it felt in your hands, feeling it’s weight and texture, observing its smell and taste and any other observations.

Before the online session, participants were asked to write for a maximum of ten minutes letting the words fall onto the page either about or from the object.

Each participant’s passage of writing and object were bought to the session, during which were asked to witness and listen to each other’s writing and then write a brief response.
