On Repeat with Holly Slingsby

On Repeat is a making session using music to create a cyclical and meditative space.

One of the things that ties us together as a group is a shared experience of loss, and that shared-ness is as valuable to explore as the losses themselves. Similarly, the hope of recovery, although not something to be forced is something we can consider together.

The session used a repetitive soundtrack as a backdrop for creative work, creating a cyclical and meditative space. Participants were invited to work in any preferred medium of choice, responding to the repeated music in an instinctive and spontaneous way.

Music was played for one hour as a shared experience. The rest of the session was used to discuss how it felt, what we made, and our responses.

Images shown above include work made during the session by Moose, paula, Emma, Annabel, Bea, Davina, Holly and Gemma.
